This website details public investments in our infrastructure following the devastating hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav, Ike and other declared disasters. It also includes public investments in residential properties following the devastating hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The purpose of this site is to provide state and local leadership and our citizens a detailed view of those investments and a means to track recovery dollars being spent in their care.

funded through the Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA) and
• Disaster Community Development Block
Grant (CDBG) projects funded through the
Department of Housing & Urban Development.
• Homeowners receiving compensation grants for rebuilding or selling home to the state, funded by the Louisiana Road Home Homeowners Program
• Small landlords receiving grants to rebuild or restore their one-to-four unit rentals, funded by the Small Rental Property Program
• Multi-family housing developers receiving grants to build affordable and mixed income developments funded by the Piggyback Rental Housing Program
• Homeowners receiving compensation grants to elevate or reconstruct their homes to meet the FEMA required elevation height for their area, and for Individual Mitigation Measures through OCD-DRU Hazard Mitigation Grant Program
• Grants offered to qualified nonprofit housing organizations with experience in housing rehab, renovation and/or community development through the Non-Profit Rebuilding Pilot Program (NRPP)
